This was a brief from the Commercial Observer to illustrate an article about passive home construction and the difficulties involved with popularizing the construction methods.
My first couple of sketches were prompts from the design department that illustrated the hurdles needed to be cleared. Sketches 3 and 4 were ideas I had for showing the difficulty of the undertaking. Perhaps, in some instances, being completely blocked.
In the end, the 3rd sketch was chosen and a finish line was added to illustrate that, although the process can be difficult, it is still possible.
This was a fun project and everyone on the design team communicated quickly and clearly. Big thank you to AD Jeff Cuyubamba.
